Announcing: New Preventing Emergency Responder Fatigue Fact Sheet
"Good afternoon,
As a member of the National Response Team and co-chair of the Worker Safety and Health Subcommittee, DTSEM is pleased to announce the newly published Preventing Emergency Responder Fatigue Factsheet (2024), which can be accessed on OSHA’s Emergency Preparedness and Response webpage.
Workers who respond to oil spills, hazardous materials cleanup activities, and other large-scale disaster response and recovery operations may be at risk of injuries and experience fatigue and stress from these incidents. This NRT Factsheet provides employers and emergency response workers (in-person and virtual) with information on fatigue and how to reduce their risk of fatigue/stress. Please feel free to share this new resource widely to protect response and recovery workers."
Thank you,
Lee Anne
