"Now is the time to put the finishing touches on your safe, socially distanced events and social media plans to remind the public to drive carefully in and around work zones to support National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW). This year’s national events are:
Monday, April 26 – Work Zone Safety Training Day where you conduct your own training for safety in and around work zones.
Tuesday, April 27 – Kickoff Event hosted by Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). The limited-capacity event will meet social distancing guidelines and be livestreamed starting at 11 a.m. ET.
Wednesday, April 28 – Go Orange Day when roadway safety professionals across the country wear orange to proudly show their support of work zone safety and post their pictures on social media.
Thursday, April 29 – Join the social media storm between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. ET by sharing messages about NWZAW, with a retweet "thunderclap" from 1-2 p.m. ET.
Friday, April 30 - Recognize and reward with people who make work zones safe.

Get the virtual background to use during Zoom, Teams, etc. meetings.
Participate in the texting challenge by typing this year’s theme on your phone into your social media channel, then post the result and our explanation while also tagging your friends.
